Severity is calculated using the following formula:

(Number of hours of absence due to workplace accidents x 1000)/("Number of effective hours worked")

•Number of hours of absence due to workplace accidents: this is the total hours of absences to include in calculation of the severity over the requested period.

•Effective number of hours of work: this is the total number of effective hours over the requested period.

For each level of the organisation chart selected, the system adds employees' various totals in days for the departments at the level to be processed.

The report calculates the rate for each level.
