Kelio Data is an optional Kelio suite module that is used to access system data and store it in a warehouse for decision-making purposes. You may use Excel® or any other decision-making analysis and reporting tool.

As a Kelio Data user, you do not have any direct access to the Kelio server’s production base, which therefore guarantees the integrity of the system data. Kelio Data provides you with the data warehouse to access the data.

The data warehouse allows you to easily classify the data of your choice and log a history.

The data warehouse is a database (DATA_MART) that can be deployed on the following type server as needed:

•Firebird

•Microsoft SQL Server 2017, 2019, 2022 (Enterprise, Standard, Web Edition)

•Oracle 12cr2, 18c, 19c, 21c (Enterprise Edition, Standard Edition, Standard Edition One)

•PostgreSQL 13, 14

Firebird is the default server for installation.

The data warehouse is a duplication of the data of your choice from the Kelio database to a non-relational database. The synchronised data must be defined while taking into account your processing and logging needs:

-the data you want to synchronise

-the desired refresh frequency

-for how long the data are logged before they are cleared

Once these parameters are selected, one or several automatic functions will populate the tables of the data warehouse and make available the data needed for administrative decision-making. Therefore, you can export data using Excel® or SQL requests or decision-making reporting tools available on the market (such as Business Objects®, Crystal Report®, Cognos®, Hyperion®, SAS®, Harry Software®).

From Kelio V3, an empty value in Kelio is no longer synchonized as an empty value in the datamart but as a NULL value.

A very wide variety of data calculated by Kelio can be synchronised in the data warehouse. This is why the quantity of the data stored in the data warehouse can quickly add up. It is therefore essential to select the data that are strategic and necessary for your administration in order to prevent excessive synchronisation.

The access, consultation and processing of data from the data warehouse are carried out by the client.

In order to use the warehouse, you must have Administrator - Data exchange rights in the User rights module, from the Profiles > Administrator - Data exchange menu.

1.Select the check box Manage data warehouse synchronisation.

2.Indicate whether the administrator has only execution rights or if they can also make changes to the setup.

3.Save.

Once rights have been assigned, the user can connect to Kelio and go to Administrator workspace > Data exchange > Data warehouse sync.
