The Messaging application is an internal communication tool used to facilitate dialogue within your organisation. Your employees can communicate among themselves or with their managers via chat groups. Each user has a contacts list in his/her file – selected by you – listing the persons with whom he/she is able to communicate.
Depending on access rights to the software, messaging is available from:
•Portal
•Time & Activities
•Staff administration
•Planning
•Employee area
•Touchscreen terminal
If someone wishes not to be disturbed while working, they may go offline .
There are 3 separate roles:
•Employee - may receive messages and (possibly) answer them. They need a User - Collaborative tools right, Access the messaging application.
•Manager - can create conversations. They need a User - Collaborative tools right, Access the messaging application + Authorise messages to be sent to multiple participants.
•Moderator - may delete unwanted messages. They need a User - Collaborative tools right, Access the messaging application + Permanent deletion of a conversation or message (Moderation).
With an Employee - Terminal right, these 3 functions may be used from a touchscreen terminal. |
This function is not available on touchscreen devices (smartphones or tablets). |
1.Click Create. 2.Select the Recipients. (These are people authorised in your file).
